Things with Wings!

Another Operation Write Home VCMP Challenge done!  This one was to feature Things with Wings!  I've been wanting to try out my new "Owl Occasions" stamp set from Scrappy Moms, so I choose this cute owl from the Paisley Cricut cartidge. The branch is from Create a Critter. After trying about 10 different ideas for a background, I went with chevrons from MME. The Very Vanilla circle from SU! calms down all the color and pattern going on, and I like that it hints of the moon!

Chevron Challenge

Chevrons are one of my favorite trends in card making, so I jumped right in on the Chevron Challenge for the OWH Virtual Card Making Party! This card features Doll 3 from the Paisley Cricut Cartridge, cut at 3 1/4". the DP is from MME, and card stock from SU! The "Love You" stamp is from Scrappy Mom's Mini Messages set.



In this non-chevron version, the doll was cut at 3 1/2", and again I used DP from MME. The doily die cut is from a ColorBok set.

You're the Cat's Meow!

Hi, everyone!   The inspiration for this card was the Terrific Tuesday challenge at Scrappy Moms blogspot. The challenge was to use the Rock Princess cartridge or a similar cut.  I don't own that particular cartridge so I used this slinky cat from the Paisley cartridge, glammed up with some zebra stripe, gold metallic trim and and a rhinestone. The sentiment stamp was from Scrappy Mom's Amusing Animals set. "MEOW" was cut from the Graphically Speaking cartridge.

I'm also linking this up to last week's Throwdown Challenge at the OWH Stars and Stamps blog, which was to make a card with glitter-free bling.
