Today I want to share a couple of simple Any Hero cards I made for Operation Write Home.
Both of these cards were made using the Stand and Salute Cricut cartridge and the Yankee Doodle Dandy stamp set from Scrappy Moms. If you'd like to send some Any Hero mail to Operation Write Home, but are not sure what to write in the cards, check out this tutorial, which gives you plenty of information and inspiration to get started.
Have a wonderfully creative day! Thanks for stopping by!

Blessed
This card came about when I was sorting through a pile of punched flowers that didn't make the cut on other cards! I scattered them across a card base and it looked kind of cute! I stamped "so very" in Versamark ink for a background design. The stripe on the edge of the card is a sticker from Creative Memories. All stamps are from Stampin' Up! Punches are from Martha Stewart, Stampin' Up! and Creative Memories.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!
Canoe dig it?
This canoe from the Just Because cartridge is so darned cute and once I realized I had a stamp to go with it, I couldn't NOT work it into a card! I have pondered over the design for weeks, but after stumbling upon this paper from the DCWV Green Stack I knew that "I love you", "red roses", and "blue clouds" were perfect subjects for the question at hand. Canoe dig it?
Unfrogettable...that's what you are...
Today's card features a silly little frog cut from the new Creative Memories "This and That" cartridge. My friend Nadine is a CM consultant and let's me play with the new CM cartridges when they come out! The frog is cut at 2 1/2". I used the same green for all layers, inking the edges with Peeled Paint distress ink. Once it was all put together, I ran it through the Cuttlebug I used my little heart shaped punch for the eyes, adding black gems for the eyeballs. The grass and lilies were stamped using the Daydreamers set from Papertrey. Love that set! Sentiment is from Stampin' Up! and I cut the cloud on the Cricut. The lily pad was made from an oval shape. which I trimmed and inked. Some swirls in the water and some polka dot ribbon finish it up. Whew! It took lots of trial and error before this one came together, but I'm pleased with the finished product!

Tea for Two
I must...stop...making...cards....
I have about a hundred other things to do, but somehow seem to find myself in the craft room puttering with cards! I made this teapot using the new "This and That" cartridge from Creative Memories. After much deliberation, trial and error, blood, sweat and tears, my little teapot finally made its way to a finished card!
The bottom border punch on the "tablecloth" is from Martha Stewart, and I ran that through the Cuttlebug to get the embossed wavy line through it. The paper is a hodge podge from my collection. I tried to machine stitch around the edge, but had some trouble with that, so Plan B (or was it C or D?) included faux stitches with my pen. The sentiment stamps are from Scrappy Moms. I'm pleased with the results so I guess it's time to get started on that "to-do" list!

Happy B-day!
Here's a quick card I made using scrapbook supplies and the Cricut. The balloon was cut from Create a Critter. Paper, sentiment sticker, and puzzle punch are from Creative Memories. I ran the balloon through the Cuttlebug and added some button brads for some texture. I'm linking this up to Die Cuts and Punches Midweek Throwdown Challenge at OWH Stars and Stamps blog.
Hope you're having a GREAT day! Thanks for stopping by to take a look!
